Prius Jack Stand Placement. The Jack Stands should be placed on the sides of the vehicle behind the front tires where the jacking tabs are located. Is there a definitive thread on best jacking-up locations, front and rear, as well as best placements of jack stands, front and rear?

Obviously you can't jack up the car in the same place you want to place the jack stands (hence Dave's post above). Second, it sure would be great to have the ability to jack one SIDE of the car up - and then to either place the jack stands or to swap.

I know we have jacking points and I have the adapter for that but just don't want to end up placing the jack stand under something that looks beefy enough only to find out later that. Then place your two jack stands at the seam welds on the front just behind the front wheels. I need a better interface between my jack stand and the jacking point on the car.
